17 Child Stars Who Were In Oscar-Winning Films And Where They Are Now

 Being an actor is awesome and a lot of people of all ages get to experience this, including children, even babies. I mean, it would be awesome to be an award-winning actor at 14 years old.

Child stars are seen in a lot of different films that you and I watch every single day, some of them even being the main character and actors in the movie. It's quite impressive what these amazing child actors can do, so it's no surprise that some of them have continued on that career path.

These child stars have played in Oscar-winning films and were recognized for their amazing performances. A lot of child actors continue along this path for a while once they get started in a film, so that's actually what a lot of these child actors did as well.

Alan Kim, 8 years old, had an amazing performance in Minari. Alan even won a Critics Choice Award for Best Young Actor.

He will actually star in Latchkey Kids alongside Elsie Fisher.

2. Roman Griffin Davis

Roman Griffin Davis is a child star who played in Jojo Rabbit. He played a 10-year-old Hitler Youth member.

What's next for ROman is that he will be starring in Silent Night.

3. Archie Yates

Archie is another child star from Jojo Rabbit. He's now 12 years old and will be named the lead of Disney+'s Home Alone reboot. 

4. Jacob Tremblay

Jacob won Best Young Performer at the 2016 Critics' Choice Movie Awards for his performance in Room. Jacob actually took on many other projects after his appearance in Room; his latest will be acting as Flounder in The Little Mermaid.

5. Quvenzhané Wallis

Quvenzhané landed a Best Actress nominee at just 9 years old with her performance in Beasts of the Southern Wild. She's now 17 years old and has been in many different films including Trolls and Annie. 

6. Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee was cast at 13 to play in True Grit and was later nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Nowadays Hailee is releasing hits such as "Most Girls" and "Starving," as well as playing in movies such as Pitch Perfect. 

7. Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse has been in a few films and at just 27 years old she has been nominated for four Oscars awards. Now, she's gone on to be nominated because of her performances in Little Women and Lady Bird. 

8. Abigail Breslin

Abigail is most known for her role in Little Miss Sunshine and she actually was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars. Abigail has continued her film career by starring in Definitely, My Sister's Keeper, Zombieland, and Scream Queens. 

9. Keisha Castle-Hughes

Keisha became the second-youngest Best Actress nominee after appearing in Whale Rider. Keisha is now 31 and has played in The Nativity Story, Game Of Thrones, and FBI: Most Wanted. 

10. Freddie Highmore

Freddie was first known for his appearance in Finding Neverland. Freddie has since been seen in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Bates Motel, and The Good Doctor. 

11. Jonathan Lipnicki

Most of us know Johnathan Lipnicki from his amazing performance in Jerry Maguire. Johnathan then went on to star in Stuart Little, The Little Vampire, and Like Mike. 

12. Dakota Fanning

Most of us know Dakota Fanning from her many performances as a child actor, which started with her appearance in I Am Sam, then later on in War Of The World and Cat In The Hat, among others. Now, she is 27 years old and actually opened a production company with her sister named Lewellen Pictures and continues to play great roles in the film industry.

13. Haley Joel Osment

Haley made his breakthrough with his role in Forest Gump and The Sixth Sense as a child star. He's now 33 and has been in many other films including Pay It Forward and Secondhand Lions. 

14. Anna Paquin

11-year-old Anna was nominated, and won, Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Piano. Anna continued her film career by playing roles in X-Men, Jane Eyre, and True Blood. 

15. Justin Henry

Justin Henry is known for his performance in Kramer vs. Kramer and at just 8-years-old he got a nomination for Best Supporting Actor, making him the youngest nominee in any category. Justin is now 49 and has since then played in Fantasy Island and Sixteen Candles.

16. Jodie Foster

Jodie first got nominated for Best Supporting Actress because of her performance in Taxi Driver. She's now 58 and has starred in many notable films and is now a celebrated director. 

17. Tatum O'Neal

Tatum won the Best Actress Oscar at 10-years-old. She's now 57 and has played in many films including Little Darlings and Sex And The City. 

Some of these child stars are very impressive by winning and getting nominated for Oscars at such a young age. It's awesome to see that most of them have gone on to continue their career in film and have been in some very popular movies.
