It's fair to say that unless you've been living under a rock (no pun intended), you will have seen the drama surrounding Will Smith and Chris Rock unfold over the past week. Things turned sour at the Oscars when Rock made a joke at Will's wife Jada's expense.

The joke made reference to Jada's shaved head. However, Jada and will didn't find it very funny, considering Jada has been diagnosed with Alopecia, which causes hair loss.

Will walked on stage and slapped Chris before returning to his seat and continuing to scream at the comedian. Of course, the altercation made global news, and it's pretty much all we've been hearing about since.

But the feud between Will and Chris is only one among many celebrity conflicts we've seen over the years. Who could forget the famous fight between Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj?

Or the rift between Vin Diesel and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson that went on for years? But those are just the tip of the celebrity battles iceberg.

There have been countless rivalries between stars that you may not have even been aware of. So we've put together a list of some of the juiciest ones for your enjoyment.

Have we got your attention yet? Keep scrolling to reflect on 17 random celebrity conflicts we never expected.

2. Kim Kardashian vs. Tyson Beckford

Tyson Beckford slammed Kim Kardashian in 2018, saying her body was "not real" and commenting that "a doctor f-ked up on her right hip." Kim bit back by writing, "Sis, we all know why you don't care for it," which was assumed to be a homophobic remark.

3. Ariana Grande vs. Piers Morgan

Ariana took offense to some of Piers Morgan's comments on female celebrities. The journalist had accused Ellen DeGeneres of "drooling over famous men's bodies" and Little Mix of selling "nudity" instead of music.

Ariana clapped back by tweeting, "Ellen is an incredible & kind human being. I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because I choose to."

"Women can be sexual AND talented, naked and dignified," she continued. "It's OUR choice, and we will keep fighting til people understand," she wrote. "I say this with all due respect but thank u, next."

4. Jon Hamm vs. Kim Kardashian

In 2012, John Hamm said, "Whether it's Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated." And, naturally, Kimmy didn't take the stab lightly.

"I respect Jon, and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life," she tweeted. "We're all working hard, and we all have to respect one another," she continued.

"Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion, careless," Kim concluded. Don't mess with the Kardashians, Jon!

When Mason Disick called Jeffree Star "spoiled AF" in 2020, Jeffree didn't take the 10-year-old's comment lightly. "I had $500 in my bank account six years ago," Star tweeted.

Anjelica Huston made some nasty comments about Jacki Weaver's film Poms in 2019, saying it was "humiliating" to make a film about "old-lady cheerleaders." Jacki later told Vanity Fair about her reaction.

We all witnessed the beef between Miley and Nicki in 2015 when Minaj confronted Cyrus live on air during the MTV awards. "And now back to this bitch that had a lot to say about me in the press," Nicki said.

However, Priyanka wasn't impressed that the talk show host didn't reach out to her personally. She encouraged Rosie to Google her name in the future or "reach out directly" rather than making an insincere, public apology.

"We ALL deserve to be respected for our unique individuality and not to be referred to as 'someone' or 'wife,' especially in a sincere apology," Priyanka said. "If we can learn to respect our differences in an authentic way, the world we raise our children in will be amazing."

"I don't want to see that," he said. Stern later apologized to Lena, who called his radio show and said, "I'm not that fat, Howard."

12. Neil Patrick Harris vs. James Woods

Neil Patrick Harris and James Woods clashed after Woods posted a photo of a couple and their son, saying the boy would grow up to be a murderer. "Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods," Harris tweeted in response.

"Using one's child as a social justice propaganda doll is tantamount to child abuse," Harris wrote. "This is not about homophobia, nice try though."

A feud between Chrissy Teigan and Alison Roman began in 2020 when Alison called Chrissy a sellout. Alison later apologized, saying, "I need to formally apologize to Chrissy Teigen and Marie Kondo."

14. Debra Messing vs. Susan Sarandon

Debra and Susan had a Twitter war during the presidential election in 2016. But Debra lashed out at Susan once again in 2018, responding to Susan's comment about Donald Trump being inspirational to women.

15. Vin Diesel vs. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson

Vin and Dwayne shared some banter in 2016 when 'The Rock' referred to some of his male costars in The Fate of the Furious as "candy asses." He never named Vin; however, the star later clapped back, saying, "Honestly, give me a second, and I will tell you everything. Everything."

Michelle Rodriguez described the tension between the pair as a friendly rivalry; however, Tyrese Gibson said 'The Rock' was to blame. Either way, it appears the duo has made amends since then, thankfully.

16. Chloe Grace Moretz vs. Kim Kardashian

In 2016, Chloe said she hoped Kim "realize[s] how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies." She was referencing Kim's tendency to post nude selfies online.
