Movies are extremely cool when it comes to how they can make someone look like a totally different person. Movie makeup and special effects come in very handy when it comes to horror movies specifically.
Horror movies are known for having the craziest makeup and special effects done to the actors that play those lead roles. You'd be really surprised to see the actors that play these horror movie stars.
Some of these aren't quite a shock because the actor played a very close role and they looked more like the real them, but for some of these movie stars they look completely different and you really wouldn't even know it was them. These photos show these awesome actors show you the way they look in real life and they also show you what they look like in full character.
These movie stars are brave because I can imagine how long it takes to get these actors in character with all of their makeup and special effects gear. I'm sure it will be fascinating to see these characters as real people versus what they look like when they are giving us jump scares.

Leatherface is an infamous character from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning in 2006. He was played by Andrew, but nobody would probably even know that by the leather face.

5. Pennywise — Tim Curry
Tim Curry did a great job being Pennywise in 1990 It movie.
6. Freddy Krueger — Robert Englund
Freddy Krueger was played by Robert in A Nightmare On Elm Street in 1984. He plays the part well!
7. Leprechaun — Warwick Davis
Warwick is one of the most famous dwarf actors and he did a great job playing the lead role in Leprechaun in 2003.
8. Samara — Daveigh Chase
This famous scary movie character is from The Ring in 2002.
9. Jack Torrance — Jack Nicholson
This is a very infamous scene that Jack played perfectly in The Shining 1980.
10. Michael Myers — Nick Castle
This is the infamous Michael Myers played by Nick Castle in Halloween in 1978.
11. Pinhead — Doug Bradley
Pinhead looks completely different from Doug who played him in Hellraiser in 1987. Clearly he did an amazing job and was casted perfectly for the part.
It's amazing to see how people can be transformed into these crazy characters. Some of these characters definitely did not look like the actors, while some of them actually did kind of resemble the actors.
